As a mother, I believe in my daughter’s civil rights. I think my daughter deserves everything she wants in life. She’s a good girl. She’s a beautiful child. Since the seventies Marie Osmond has been one of the biggest names in show business thanks to her brothers (Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny and Jimmy) and her famous vocal group, the Osmond Brothers, who made their debut on Andy Williams’ show. Although her brothers were successful in the field of night music, Mary did not quickly follow their example in the beginning and performed little in public during her youth. But as soon as her brother Donnie as a solo artist and teen idol, known for hits like Puppy Love and Go Away Little Girl, was successful, Marie decided to put her hand on show business and signed her first record deal with MGM/Kolob Records while on stage with her brothers, where her national roots were in stark contrast to their hard rock style.
From star to maternity: Eight or more children
Marie’s entry into the world of music was easy, as she released her first hit single, Paper Roses, in 1973 and continued her success with In My Little Corner of the World and Who’s Sorry Now. In the mid-1970s she and Donnie put together her own special Donnie and Marie collection, which was later renamed Family Osmond Hour. Because the fans loved the healthy Osmond family, Marie found a steady job. She has worked with Donny on dozens of projects and released several albums, including This is the Way That I Feel, There’s No Stopping Your Heart, I Only Wanted You, All In Love and Steppin’ Stone. In the eighties she returned to television with her short series Marie and did comeos in the films I Married Wyatt Earp, Love Boat, Velvet Rabbit, Maybe this time almost perfect.
Against a backdrop of growing success, Marie received her greatest gift in 1983 when she and her first husband, Stephen Lyle Craig, married their son Stephen James Craig on the 20th anniversary of his death. April 1983 in the world. Although Marie divorced only two years later, she found love a second time and married Brian Blisila in October 1986. A year after their marriage, Marie and Brian expanded their family and adopted Jessica Marie Blosil shortly after her birth on January 17. December 1987. Two years later, on the 19th. In August 1989 Marie gave birth to the daughter of Rachel Lauren and stayed with the family with the adoption of Michael Brian (1991), Brandon Warren (1996), Brianna Patricia (1997), Matthew Richard (1998) and Abigail Olive May (2002).
In 1999 things got out of hand for Marie, who in her book Behind the Smile and later talk shows on popular daytime shows such as the Oprah Winfrey Show publicly acknowledged her fight against postpartum depression. Eventually, after receiving the help she needed, Marie settled at home with her husband and eight children until 2007, when she announced her divorce from Blizil after 21 years of marriage. Believe it or not, Osmond rekindled her love for her first husband and remarried Stephen Craig in 2011 at the Temple in Las Vegas Nevada in the same dress she wore at her wedding in 1982!
Own shares: Jessica Blosil publicly excluded
Although Marie did her best to protect her children from curious media inquiries after the widespread divorce and her stay at Dances with the Stars, where she fainted after her fifth week on the show, her efforts were in vain as gossip magazines reported that she had rejected her eldest daughter Jessica Marie after learning that she was a transgender lesbian. Because of Mormon loyalty, the tabloid press caused a sensation and reported that Mary had thrown Jessica out of her family home in Utah, forcing Jessica to flee to Los Angeles with her then partner. How much of this is true?
Jessica was often portrayed as a rebel against her parents’ religious home, so her social media account often raised eyebrows when she called herself a whore or discussed her favorite sexual positions online. This only increased the world’s curiosity as Jessica struggled privately with her own sexuality before joining the family in 2004 at the age of 17. Contrary to what the tabloid press reported in 2009 when she was evicted in public, Jessica was not evicted but embraced by tears and support.
In an interview with Diane Sawyer, when Marie was named Man of the Year, she admitted that she cried when Jessica came out, but only because she was worried, not disappointed. Because she has many friends in the LGBT community, Marie was afraid that Jessica would be accepted and probably judged unfairly. I didn’t want this for my child, Marie said. Nevertheless, Maria and the other Osmouths joined forces around Jessica and organised a gay parade in which Maria served as Grand Marshal. At that time, Jessica found the courage to publicly confirm the rumors and announced that she was happy to live with her partner in Los Angeles.
Just a few months after Jessica’s public release, she suffered another great loss when her younger brother Michael died on December 26th. February 2010 committed suicide. Michael, who’s been in the hospital since he was 12. He was 19 years old when he ended his life jumping from the eighth floor of his building in Los Angeles. The loss was catastrophic for the Osmond family, especially for Jessica, whose rebellious behavior and earlier encounter with passion came full circle.
Life Today: Jessica The Way to Happiness with Provo Police
After her brother’s tragic suicide, Jessica struggled to regain control of her life and returned to Utah to be with her family. With a strong support system she became credible when she joined the Provo Police Academy. So proud of her eldest daughter Jess, Marie tweeted later after Jessica’s graduation. She just passed the officer’s exams for emergency medicine and defense tactics. All within five yards of her! I love it!
After the academy, Jessica was hired by Provo’s police department and has been enjoying her work and life in Utah ever since. At the same time, a 30-year-old girl receives incredible support from her family, where the mother often talks about the LGBT community and her rights. I believe in my daughter’s civil rights as a mother, Marie says. I think my daughter deserves everything she wants in life. She’s a good girl. She’s a beautiful child. I don’t think God made a flower of the same color. I think he’s done a lot… I also believe that everyone should have the right to share his or her home and finances with someone he or she cares about. You know, I’m very helpful with these things. When it comes to marriage… I think civil rights should apply to everyone.
In addition to her mother’s constant support, Jessica is in no hurry to give news about her life and has even avoided social media. Jessica really wants a chance to help people, especially teenagers, said a good friend recently. If Jess can change a teenager’s life, she will feel blessed and her mother will cooperate 100%. Jessica changed her life, not only for herself, but also for her brother. We have no doubt that Michael would be incredibly proud of his big sister!
