I’ve really managed to be with so many different people and cultures… it’s really opened me up to so many different things in the world. Named after the protagonist of one of her mother’s favorite movies, All I want for Christmas is you, Hallie Eisenberg may be better known today as Jesse Eisenberg’s little sister, but she was the first to become famous long before her older brother was nominated for a social networking award. How did a dimple from New Jersey become one of the most famous stars of the late 1990s and early 2000s? We thought you’d never ask!
Years before she became known as the Pepsi girl, Hallie Kate Eisenberg was born on the 2nd. Born in August 1992 in East Brunswick, New Jersey, where her father was a university professor and her mother ran a theater program for local public schools, while she performed at weekends and evenings in public theater and worked as a professional clown. Because of their mother’s connections in the industry, Jesse and Hallie got to know the theatre. Jesse regularly performed in school and public theatre before signing a contract with a salesman named Bonnie Schumofsky. Coincidentally, Szumofski noticed young Hallie when she came to her office one afternoon with her mother and Jesse. Schumofsky was impressed by Hallie’s dimples, her charm and overall appearance and asked her to send it. Hallie’s first job was to advertise the children’s show Nickelodeon – Blues Clues, reports The Guardian. She’s been ordering a job ever since.
When Hallie joined her brother in show business, her parents quickly drew up a few lines for the girl who shot a handful of commercials before taking a big break when she was filmed in the first of many Pepsi commercials in the late 1990s. Hallie knows when it’s not fun anymore, when she feels compelled to work, she can talk, her father Barry said about his daughter’s growing fame. Hallie had a natural talent for this work and became known as a teenage girl in love with Pepsi because Pepsi’s creative team did everything they could to charm her and introduced her to NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, not to mention expressing her voice as a character straight from the godfather. I say the rules, and they insert the voices later, Hallie explained.
Hallie soon becomes known as Little Pepsi and becomes an even bigger star than her brother when proposals, scripts and invitations flood into her agent’s office. For Schumofsky, however, Hallie’s incredible gold was not difficult, because Hallie was a natural talent and her parents were not interested in taking advantage of their daughter’s growing fame. If you see a child playing because a parent wants to and not because a child naturally likes it, that’s proof. It doesn’t work, Szumofski said. While Hallie clearly enjoyed her work, she soon made her big screen debut in a children’s film, Paulie, in 1998.
After finding her place in the film, Hallie Al Pacino and Russell Crowe joined the film Insider, then starring alongside the late Robin Williams in the film Screenwriter Man, but began looking for projects that wouldn’t take her too far from normal life in New Jersey, at least not for long. It would just be hard for me to leave, Hallie said about her life at home. I have five pets at home, a brother and a sister, parents and a horse, so it will be very difficult to leave all this behind for a long time. After carrying out small projects in the following years with loans from Get Real, Beautiful, The Miracle Worker and The Goodbye Girl, Hallie returned to the big screen in The Fried Worms in 2006.
Although she admits that she loved filming How to Eat a Fried Worm, Hallie became increasingly selective in her projects and for the next two years focused on her interests outside Hollywood, including horseback riding and circus shows. I drive almost every day, she says. Even when I’m not on horseback, I’m on the farm to make sure he has food and water. I also like circus shows. I like going to the local circus. I don’t go to adults with animals because I don’t like the way they treat animals; I am a vegetarian and a man who protects animal rights. But I go to the circus all the time, and I’ve even been in a circus once. I make devil artists.
Given her interest in circus performances, Hallie returned to the film with credits in PJ and Wild Child in 2008 before directing her last film at the age of 18 in St. Walsen in 2010. Although she made it to Broadway and starred in The Woman, she interrupted her acting career and finished her high school year before attending American University in Washington. What’s she been doing for seven years?
Although she once hinted she was studying medicine, Hallie, 25, doesn’t seem to have a doctorate behind her name, at least we don’t know that. Instead, the former Pepsi seems satisfied with her life, as she supports her brother Jesse, who has made a name for herself as an award-winning actor, writer and playwright, and his girlfriend, singer Owen Danoff. She was last seen in public in March 2016 in an episode of The Voice, where she willingly supported Danoff by participating in a popular talent show. Since then, Hallie and her date have moved to New York City, where they now share an apartment with Jesse, which makes us wonder how it goes with the former child star who once said I like everything about acting. I love meeting so many people and I love getting up and doing it. Will she ever come back to television and the movies? Now all we have to do is wait and see!
